HISTORY
The CAMSA was founded in 2021-22 by eight medical students across the Atlantic region. Over the course of a year, the founding team consulted with numerous student organizations, drafted By-laws and Terms of Reference, and incorporated CAMSA as a non-profit organization with Corporations Canada. This was followed by a special election in July 2022 to elect CAMSA's first Board of Directors.
MISSION
To represent, unite, advocate for, and promote collaboration among undergraduate Atlantic medical students, as well as with our peers across the nation.
VISION
To serve as a united representation of the Atlantic medical student community, inspiring active student engagement in leadership roles, supporting student-led initiatives, and advocating for the diverse and evolving perspectives, needs, and concerns of Atlantic medical students on regional, national, and international platforms.

The CAMSA Committees are the navy circles that sit between the CAMSA Directors and the Board Executive Members (President, Past-President, President-Elect, and Board Administrator), as the leadership of various committees is shared by the entire Board of Directors.
The CAMSA Advisory & Liaison Members encircle the Board of Directors as these organizations provide their consultations, guidance, and support to all members of the Board.
Finally, Atlantic medical students, also known as CAMSA General Members, encircle the entire association, guiding the organization's overall work.
